A Pen, A Pen, My Kingdom for A Pen

If you've taken a look around the site or know of my work from my various FB posts then you'll be aware of my desire to have to be an author.

To date I have writen a novel titled Legendville as well as three novellas Loner, Deceived and Quietus (also collected together as the Loner Collectors Edition), not forgetting of course my first childrens book The Werewolf Detective Agency: The Case of the Missing Mascot.

To be honest most of these books came fairly easily to me once I put my mind to it and got pen to paper (or more to the point finger to keyboard). True Legendville was 10 years in the making but once I got my act together it didn't take long at all to get from first draft to self published.

Why self published I hear you ask? Well it turns out that the road to getting your great idea published is littered with the broken dreams and fractured words of a million other wannabe novellists, all of whom have had their hopes dashed upon the rocks of disappointment and despair. At this time I find myself as one of the many rather than one of the chosen few and so in an attempt to get my work out into the world before as many eyes as possible I went the self published route. All of my books are available on Amazon but I'm not exactly setting the world on fire, I guess we all have to start somewhere though right?

All of which brings me to the here and now. I have plenty of notes of further enteries in the Legendville series as well as a rough outline for more Werewolf Detective books but it's hard to know where to begin. I have started working on a new novel titled Amaranthine but haven't looked at it in a while which is something I really need to remedy as soon as possible. I'd like to argue that I have too much on my plate at the moment but being honest that is nothing but a copout to cover for my lack of drive towards the goal I'm looking to achieve.

Time for a midyear resolution methinks......now where the hell did I put my pen?
